History

The Winged Migration Expo, first held in 2025, continues the education legacy of Mare Island and the North Bay and the celebration of its birds within the natural world. Hosted on Mare Island, the Expo featured talks, hikes, and plenty of live exhibits! In 2026, the Expo expanded into the larger Building 69 on Mare Island, allowing us to expand our vendors and other activities. Planning now for our third year in 2027, we look forward to returning to Mare Island's Building 69 and to seeing our wonderful birds in action! Join us in January 2027!
